I am passionate about helping ordinary people achieve extraordinary health! I became a Naturopathic Doctor because I love to help people who are trying to help themselves. I enjoy helping both men and women understand the root cause of their health concerns and work with my patients to make a plan to improve their health.
My goal is to help you life a life you love. In order to provide the most comprehensive care possible, I have pursued additional training in Menopause Management (scheduled to write the NAMS Exam in June 2025), Functional Medicine, Sports Medicine, Metabolic Disorders, Prolotherapy, as well as various injection and IV therapies. I am the only doctor in Canmore providing IV Vitamin Infusions, an absolute game-changer for accelerating recovery from burnout, stress, and oxidative stress (exercise). Living in one of Canada's most active communities, I consider it critically important to support your ability to move without pain and heal from injury.
Good digestion is a major pillar of health. I have focused much of my career on digestive optimization to help my patients navigate what can be a confusing mashup of symptoms. With so many influencers recommending what worked for them, many people became hopelessly overwhelmed with the potential causes. Gas? Bloating? Diarrhea? Food sensitivities? I can help you figure out what is going on, and then get relief from these distressing symptoms.
Menopause is not a curse. I work with women to help them thrive through this intense life transition. Education, empowerment, and evidence-informed, effective solutions for symptoms are combined to provide individualized treatment for each woman’s unique health concerns.
Patients can expect me to use a combination of physical exams, lab testing, functional testing, and a detailed medical history. With that information and using a functional medicine approach, I will help you get to the root cause of your health issues.

Canada’s general standard of care is that Canadians are likely deficient in Vitamin D and should supplement. But are you supplementing enough? Testing can provide clear direction on how much to supplement with, and for how long
Bloating? Bloating all the time, no matter how well you eat? Do you have to wear “stretchy pants” to accommodate abdominal distension? SIBO may be the cause.
Bloodwork at a conventional lab can reveal whether or not you are expressing antibodies against gluten and gliadin. Get some answers: do you really have to avoid gluten? Or is something else bothering your digestion?
Tired all the time? Brain fog? Chilly all the time? Constipated? Losing hair? An under functioning thyroid can cause all of these symptoms and more. This comprehensive test looks at total thyroid function, including T3, T4, and anti-TPO levels
Cortisol levels play a critical role in how you feel throughout the day. When they’re too high at night, it’s difficult to sleep. Too low in the morning and it’s difficult to get out of bed. Chronic low or high grade stress can alter how your body produces and responds to this important hormone. Testing can help direct treatment for fatigue and/or anxiety
Dr. Dawne can order any conventional lab test, such as routine blood work, however the cost is not covered by Alberta healthcare. You must be a patient of Dr. Dawne before she can order any testing. Book your New Patient Intake to get started!
